Glee’s newest star Damian McGinty recently raved about his experience thus far on the series. While attending the HBO Golden Globe Awards after party the young Glee star revealed he was recently given a script for an upcoming episode where he will have the opportunity to sing one of his all-time favourite songs.

Which favourite song was he referring too? Unfortunately for us, McGinty didn’t elaborate. He did however, confirm that his character will become involved in a relationship during the upcoming season as Rory will have a girlfriend. The Golden Globes were McGinty’s first taste of what they’re all about. He shared the night with his fellow Glee cast members. I am sure this will be the first of many awards shows for McGinty and fingers crossed he might be accepting his own award for his work on the series in the upcoming seasons. Only time will tell.

In another interview, McGinty expressed there is no way to prepare for what has come with the series. He did say the Glee Project helped but he wasn’t prepared for the amount of work that is required outside of work. McGinty referred to himself as a “small-time guy”  and therefore he’s not quite used to the red carpet events. He added that he understands it’s all part of the job though. Oh the life of a celebrity!
