So maybe you’ve heard the rumors flying about that the glee cast would be donning white gloves and fedoras and singing along to ‘Thriller’ in an episode set to be aired right after the Super Bowl 2011!

Well, according to Glee creator Ryan Murphy, he has confirmed that this is not the truth..

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest recently, this is what he said when asked.

“I don’t have the rights to that, and at this point it is really hard to clear Michael Jackson music.”

Of course, because of the singers untimely death, all of his music has become property of the owners of his estate, thus making it extremely hard to get the rights to his songs.

But hey, disappointment aside, Murphy suggested the likes of Prince or The Beatles as runners for the Super Bowl episode of Glee.

Who knows..maybe MJ’s music could make an appearance in future seasons of Glee!
